Taylor Tantillo, The Savoy’s Food and Beverage Director, is a Kansas City native and Certified Sommelier with a passion for hospitality and creating meaningful experiences. After graduation from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management he returned home to Kansas City where he wore several hats in wine buying and selling with a few choice wine distribution companies focusing on small family-owned estate producers. He found his passion for wine and now is the founder of a private wine tasting company called Honest Wine where he enjoys sharing and educating authentic and small production wines with the public in the comfort of their own home. After occupying the General Manager and Sommelier role at one of Kansas City’s oldest James Beard Award Winning restaurants, Bluestem, he is excited to be part of the innovative journey with 21c Hotels at the historical Savoy Restaurant.
Van Zarr is a highly experienced bartender and Bar Manager, with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. He has worked at several award-winning restaurants in Kansas City, including Bluestem and Rye, where he developed his skills and passion for creating exceptional cocktails. Van is known for his use of classic techniques and contemporary touches to create unique and flavorful drinks, often incorporating locally sourced ingredients. As the Bar Manager at The Savoy, he continues to push the boundaries of mixology while staying true to the bar’s progressive style of Midwest hospitality.
